This Privacy Policy explains how Urban Initiatives Limited, trading as Renegade Urban Winery and Renegade London Wine (“we”, “us”, “Renegade”), registered in England and Wales under company number 10257462, with registered office at 7 Lockwood Way, London, E17 5RB, collects, uses and protects personal data.

We are the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy. This policy applies to everyone we hold personal data about in the course of running our business — people who visit our website, sign up to hear from us, visit our venues, or place orders with us, whether as an individual or as a trade account holder.

Section 2 — What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and postal address;

• Order and account details: what you’ve ordered or enquired about, delivery and billing addresses, and, for trade account holders, business name and VAT number;

• Payment details: our payment providers handle this on our behalf — we do not store your full card or bank details ourselves;

• Website usage data: pages visited, device/browser type, and similar data collected via cookies (see Section 7); and

• Marketing preferences: whether you’ve opted in to hear from us, and your engagement with those emails.

Section 3 — How we collect your data

We collect personal data directly from you — for example when you place an order, open a trade account, sign up to our mailing list, book with us, or otherwise get in touch. We also collect some data automatically through our website (via cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 7).

Section 4 — Why we use your data, and our lawful basis

We use personal data for the following purposes:

• To take and fulfil your order, or manage your trade account, including delivery and invoicing (necessary to perform our contract with you);

• To take payment, and to keep the accounting and tax records we’re legally required to keep (necessary to perform our contract with you, and to comply with our legal obligations);

• To respond to enquiries and provide customer service (necessary to perform our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in providing good service);

• To send you marketing communications about our wines, venues and offers, where you have agreed to receive these (based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time); and

• To keep our website and systems secure, and to understand how they’re used so we can improve them (our legitimate interest in running and improving our business).

Section 5 — Who we share your data with

We share personal data only where needed to run our business, with categories of trusted third parties such as:

• Payment processors, to take payment for orders;

• The software providers we use to manage orders, trade accounts, and accounting;

• Delivery and courier partners, to get your order to you;

• Email marketing providers, if you’ve opted in to marketing communications; and

• Professional advisers, such as our accountants, where necessary.

We don’t disclose which named products or services sit behind each of these — this policy is about how your data is used, not our internal supplier list — but we’re happy to answer questions about this if you contact us. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Where a provider is based outside the UK/European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

Section 6 — How long we keep your data

We keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. As a general rule, we retain order, account and invoice data for at least 6 years to meet our tax and accounting obligations, and marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner.

• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, marketing emails — just click ‘unsubscribe’, or contact us).

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 11. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you have concerns about how we handle your data.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including restricting access to those who need it and using reputable, secure third-party platforms for payments, accounting, and hosting.
