Events Manager — Renegade Urban Winery (Posted Feb 2026) - POSITION FILLED
📍 E17 (Blackhorse Road)
🕒 Full-time
Reporting to: Founder / Leadership
Why this role exists
Renegade Urban Winery is a working winery in East London. We make our own wine on site and host people in the space where it’s made.
We’re not a hotel group or a corporate venue brand. We’re an independent, ambitious business built around wine, hospitality, community and experience.
Today, our events business is centred around:
Weddings
Experience-led public events
Private parties
Supper clubs, live music and tastings
As we grow, we want to:
Strengthen our corporate events offering
Develop trade tastings and industry-facing events
Build stronger partnerships
Run a sharper, more commercially focused events pipeline
We’re looking for someone to take ownership of that next stage.
The role
We’re hiring a commercially minded, hands-on Events Manager to own and grow our events business.
This role combines:
Sales and conversion
Planning and delivery
Relationship-building
On-the-ground execution
There isn’t a large events team underneath you (though you’ll have strong support). You’ll have real ownership and autonomy, working closely with the founder, group area manager, marketing and hospitality.
You’ll manage the full events journey — from enquiry to delivery and follow-up — using Design My Night as our core bookings system.
What you’ll be responsible for
Core responsibilities
Owning all inbound event enquiries (website, email, phone, third-party platforms)
Responding quickly and professionally, and converting enquiries into profitable bookings
Managing the full journey: enquiry → proposal → confirmation → delivery → follow-up
Leading weddings end-to-end (currently a core revenue stream)
Ensuring we deliver consistently excellent experiential public events — and continuing to improve them
Acting as onsite lead for key events
Growth & development
Building and developing a stronger corporate events pipeline
Establishing trade tastings and industry-facing events as a meaningful channel
Creating partnerships that drive bookings and visibility
Improving pricing discipline and average booking value
Making our listings, proposals and pipeline management sharper and more effective
What success looks like
Enquiries are handled quickly and convert into strong, profitable business
Wedding revenue remains consistent and well managed
Corporate bookings steadily increase
Trade events become a recognised part of our commercial activity
Events run smoothly and professionally
The pipeline is visible, organised and commercially disciplined
Who this role is ideal for
You genuinely enjoy wine, hospitality, events and hosting people
You’ve worked in events, venues, weddings or hospitality
You’re commercially aware and comfortable selling and closing
You’re organised, detail-driven and calm under pressure
You enjoy taking ownership in a small, independent business
You’re comfortable using booking systems / CRMs (Design My Night experience is a plus)
Why join Renegade
Real ownership and visible impact
The chance to grow and shape an events business, not just maintain one
Close collaboration with the founder and leadership team
A creative, independent environment
The opportunity to build and shape the next phase of our events growth
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear:
Examples of events you’ve personally led end-to-end
The types of clients you’ve worked with
