Grapes grown in Pfalz, Germany

Wine fully made in London, UK

Grape variety: Spatburgunder (also known as Pinot Noir)

Vintage: 2019

Hand harvested then shipped by Renegade in refrigerated trucks at 2˚C direct to the London winery

Strawberries, pomegranates, nutty, delicate and fulfilling.

There is some bottle variation with this wine (as with many of ours, made in small batches, using a low intervention approach). Changes as you open her. Open her, let her breathe, enjoy. It's the kind of wine you may to meet 'half way' but give her time, she'll reward you.

Grown by our friends in the Pflaz, this is a Spatburgunder or Pinot Noir as the French would call it.

Picked by hand, popped into little baskets and shipped to us in a refrigerated truck overnight. We divided these grapes into two tanks. One was left to ferment naturally using wild yeasts, the other was innoculated to give a fresher, more directional flavour profile.

On skins for 16 days with twice daily punch downs. Pressed off and aged in secondary use French oak barrels (and one small 100L Chesnut barrel for an added twist).

Bottled unfiltered and unfined.

Susana works in the media world as 'Head of Traffic' which makes me think she's a traffic warden, but apparantly not. She doesn't usher small children accross roads in East London, she does something with the intraweb. She's from Spain. She's very nice.

If anyone cares, this wine, like all our wines, is vegan friendly. This doesn't mean they wave to vegans in the street, they are just made without the use of any animal based winemaking products.
