2021 Vintage Tasting - Tank & Barrel - 27th November - 2.30pm

This is not your usual wine tasting. We will be trying a load of the 2021 vintage wines from tank, barrel and bottle. These are very young wines. They are not finished but we are keen to give you a sneak preview of what very young (not finished, ready or aged) wines taste like.

About the Event

We have JUST finished the 2021 harvest. It's been our biggest and longest to date. 11 vineyards, 5 countries and 14 grape varieties. Around 78,000kg give or take. It's been a very long and challenging one with higher acid, lower sugar, lower yields but a few lovely surprises too!

Fancy tasting a number of the wines as they are now? This is your chance to taste wines straight after the harvest before they've aged, been in barrel for long, and are finished. These wines are between 4 to 10 weeks ago. They're young!

We will also taste a few of these wines from the 2019 and 2020 vintage too so you can see how they change and evolve in bottle/barrel. 

My guess is we'll taste around 10 wines in total, but it could be a few more, or a few less, depending on what we take from tank/barrel (and maybe bottle - e.g. 2021 pet nat).

2021 Rosé Blend (Cab Sav/Pinot Noir)

2021 & 2020 Pinot Noir (Lombardy, Italy)

2021 & 2019 Sangiovese (Puglia, Italy)

2021 & 2020 Croatina Nat Fizz (Lombardy, Italy)

Come with an open mind. This is a risky thing for a winery to do, to be honest. These wines are not ready so may be a little strange/raw/unusual. But we're just keen to share the tasting and making insights.
